The sky and telescope is an excellent magazine on astronomy.
In the magazine sky and telescope there is information for all levels of astronomers.
Note that I said “in the magazine” that is because they also host a superb website. When I was new to astronomy my friend told me to pick up a copy of the magazine. I quickly realized why. They have very good articles, resources how to’s and star charts.
In sky and telescope there is a resources section with all sorts of cool stuff. I recommend checking out the astro software. If you have a laptop this software will be your best friend. The website has a events calendar that shows you some upcoming star parties based on region you specify.
Lastly especially if you are in the market for buying new equipment there is a test reports page. Always check several different places for reviews before buying a telescope. Reviews are generally just opinions and you need to find out what YOU want.
