The xt12 features a computerized IntelliScope locator that is extremely easy to use. The handheld unit has a green backlit LCD with a database of 14,000 celestial objects. And setup is just a simple two-star alignment.
This telescopes IntellisScope locates objects in a fraction of the time compared to motored telescopes in this class. Because it doesn’t use motors it is very quiet. There is no complex initialization or drive training to be done with it.
Other great features on this are the 9 point floatation mirror cell, 2” rack and pinion focuser (with 1.25” adapter, and a finder scope 9x50. The entire thing weights 73 pounds. So you wont be moving this around much. The tube is 4’10” long and the the base is 30”H x 26”W.
