The meade LXD75 features a german-type equatorial mount 9 speed, microprocessor-controlled RA controlled system. A 9 speed declination control system. Operates on a North and South hemispheres. The GO TO is 15 arc mins. The slow motion controls are both electric.

The telescopes controller is powered by a hand held Motorola 68HC11 microprocessor, 1 meg of memory. The battery life is around 40 hours of use. The onboard celestial database is very good with over 30,000 objects.
The LXD 75 6" Newtonian Reflector is a lot better than the 10” in my opion. The 10” was way to shaky on the mount. It is a closed tube so the cool down times take awhile. Image quality wise. Its pretty good. Planets tend to be lacking crisp details but other than that its very nice.
