This bushnell voyager telescopes has a very unique design.
The bushnell voyager telescope sets on a sphere and is shipped with a shoulder strap for easy transportation.
Its advertised as a family telescope, which translated means inexpensive. Costing around 200 dollars its not a bad deal.The bushnell voyagers ball and sphere design is for portability. You can set it on your car hood, a rock on the ground. The bad thing about this is that it moves around a lot. When looking at large objects or focus on a particular part on the moon you notice its hard to keep up with its movement. You repeatedly have to keep switching to the lower power eyepieces to find your mark.
You should stick with the lower powered eyepieces that it comes with. The higher powered ones are pretty useless. The only way I could see someone usi9ng these is if they mounted the telescope. Bushnell states it does have this ability to be mounted.
The mavica autofocus is skecty …. You never know what your going to get. When taking photographs planets show up most times as bright blurs. Bright places like on the moons surface tend to be less focused. . The LCD screen isn’t to impressive, it is lacking details.
For the price you would be better off doing some research on something else. The quality is not that great. If you like to take astronomy photographs better look into a refractor type telescope. If you want something you can hike with but don’t care to much about quality this might be for you.
